Romans 12: 9-21

(Romans 12: 9-21)

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.  Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;  Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;  Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.  Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.  Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.  Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.  Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.  If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.  Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.  Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.  Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good Love is in Christ. In other words, the old man died and was reborn as a spirit body. There is no love of God until the physical body dies, for those who are outside Christ do not know the love of God.

Regarding the relationship in the (Christian) community, Paul wrote:Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Paul urged the members of the Roman Church, made up of Jews and Gentiles, to love one another, but like brothers and sisters and like family members (friend each other). Paul tells the members of the Roman Church, made up of Jews and Gentiles, to love, but to love like family, like brothers and sisters. Because they are spiritual beings. The body cannot do it, but the spirit can do it because God's love is in it.

For relations outside of the faith community, especially with those who religiously persecute or oppress the faith community or the saints, Paul did not curse himself or those who persecute the saints, do not curse, do not repay evil for evil, do not repay enemies, He told them not to be defeated by evil, do not curse against those who persecute them, do not avenge their enemies with evil, and do not lose to evil.
All these words apply to the naked person. Only those who have been born again with a spirit body can do this because they are led by the Holy Spirit. Those whose physical bodies are not dead do not develop this mind because they think by their own ability.

In Exodus 21:23-25, ``And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. Those who adhere to the law are still in sin. In spite of this, Paul is saying the opposite. Because those who are led by the Holy Spirit are above the law.

Jesus did not curse against "the Jews who curse and spit on Himself on the cross," but rather pleaded with God to forgive their ignorance. Although David had two golden opportunities to defeat Saul who was envious and tried to kill him, he rather blamed his men who wanted to harm Saul. The reason is that only the Lord is the judge. Paul quotes Deuteronomy 32:35, saying, To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. It is because man who judges man is not born again but thinks and judges with the flesh.
