Romans 1: 1-6

(Romans 1: 1-6)

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,  (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;  And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:  By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:  Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ

The book of Romans is said to have been written by the apostle Paul in Corinth. The book of Romans is a letter written to Christians in Rome to explain the correct doctrine to the saints in Rome, who grew up spontaneously without a minister. The apostle Paul says that he really wanted to go to Rome and preach the gospel, but he could not go because he did not have an opportunity. The apostle Paul thought it was the wisdom and grace of God that prevented him from going to Rome. If the apostle Paul had not had a reason to go to Rome to teach the doctrine himself and write the doctrine by letter, we would not have been able to understand exactly what the Gospel is through the great epistle, Romans.

The book of Romans begins with Paul's introduction. Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God
Paul said that he was a servant of Jesus Christ, called an apostle, and set apart for the gospel. The slave belongs to the master and is the person who does what the master tells him to do. The saints were previously servants of Satan, but they must realize that they are the servants of Jesus Christ, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. The apostle Paul explains that he became an apostle and a Christian because he was called and divided. God appeared to Ananias and told him to go to the Apostle Paul, and likewise God told Ananias that Ananias would come to the Apostle Paul. So he is born again through the ordination of Ananias.

The servants of Jesus Christ are set apart for the gospel of God. ((Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures) The gospel is not only in the New Testament Gospels, but also in the Old Testament.
Beginning with the 5th Book of Moses, the books of history, poetry, and prophets all record the Gospel. It is to realize Christ through the law. When we read the Old Testament, we should be able to see what God's promises were hidden in them and how those promises were fulfilled when we read the New Testament. As you read the Bible, you must understand what the gospel is and gain faith. That is the most central story the apostle Paul tells in Romans.

The apostle Paul goes on to talk about what the gospel is, and he says it is "about Jesus Christ." As we come to know the gospel, we must be able to understand more precisely who Jesus Christ is. Jesus came to this earth in the flesh, promised in advance through prophets in the Old Testament, and resurrected as prophesied in the Old Testament. By His resurrection on the cross, He proved to be the Son of God.
