Romans 6: 17-23

(Romans 6: 17-23)

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.  Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.  I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.  For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.  What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.  But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Saul walked "the way of the slave of sin", and David walked "the way of the servant of righteousness according to the teaching of the word of God." Eventually Saul came down from the throne, and David opened a new age of grace. The saints live under the influence of grace. The believers live based on the words of the Lord, not my standards anymore. Because believers are under grace, they must continue their lives and thoughts of righteousness. However, the reality is not easy.

The saints who claim to have been saved think that they must live righteously under grace and salvation. However, humans are not beings who can live righteously. Being justified is when you deny yourself, that is, when you crucify yourself with Jesus Christ, when God calls you righteous, it is only your righteousness that I think I can live.

People say that Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden and became slaves to sin because of original sin. However, there are original sins of spirit and original sin of flesh. Those who have left the kingdom of God are the original sins of the spirit. The original sin of the flesh is the original sin of the flesh when living in this world violates the word of God. Therefore, what became the slave of sin is that the original sin of the spirit, that is, that the spirits of heaven followed Satan was the slave of sin. The example of instruction is Jesus Christ, who died on the cross. Obedience means dying with Christ. Our old man (evil) is the evil who left God because he wanted to become like God, and this is the word that we must die. When we are united with Jesus, who died on the cross, God makes us righteous.

God's work is to make you believe in the one whom God has sent. It is Jesus Christ that God sent. Jesus redeemed for those who repented and turned. Redemption is a ransom death. The death of Jesus is the death of the repentant. God admits that the repentant sinner died with Jesus. To die with Jesus is to die by law. So you die for sin. In Romans 6:11, Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. He who is dead to sin is also dead to the world. In 1 John 2:15, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

In Matthew 19:17, it says, "Only one God is good." Beyond God, it is evil. Being in Jesus Christ, you become good. Outside of Christ, you become evil. Since sin is directly out of God, the result is sin. The cause of sin is evil. God forgives all sins of those who repent, but does not forgive evil. The Bible says that evil must die. It was expressed as an old man. The old man hides like a snake in the hearts of humans. In Romans 6:6-7, "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Regarding dying with Christ, in John 6:56, ``He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. Drinking Jesus' blood and eating flesh means being united with Jesus Christ. A fruitful life is for the old to become dead in this world. The old man denies himself in order to become dead. Do not rely on the flesh. Although the physical body is in this world, it is to deny the physical body and think about being reborn as a spiritual body. So, those who are reborn as the body of the spirit become fruit. God is spirit. God knows those who are reborn as a spirit body. If you are not born with a spirit body, you cannot enter the path of eternal life. The spirit body is reborn with water and the Holy Spirit. Those in the spirit body participate in the resurrection of Jesus.

In 2 Corinthians 5:6-8, the apostle Paul said, "Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight: ) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Those who are reborn as a spirit body will be at the right hand of God in Christ. The physical body and the spiritual body cannot be together. If you know this principle, you will know that the believer is separate from the Lord if you think of it as a physical body.

However, we also know by faith that we are with the Lord in the body of the spirit. So Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: Because we believe that the spirit body is always with the Lord. God tells us to offer the flesh as a living spiritual sacrifice. The physical body is to be used as a tool for the Gospel. When you are in the physical body, fights happen. The spirit heart and the fleshly heart fight each other. So, those who are born again become overcomers.
