Romans 8: 10-13

(Romans 8: 10-13)

body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Those who are in Christ have the law fulfilled through Jesus Christ. However, those who choose to achieve righteousness according to the law do not fulfill the law, but become trapped in the law. Those who are in Christ are not subject to the law. But the law is not broken, it is alive to those who are outside Christ. Those who are in Christ do not need a law engraved on stone, because the law of the Spirit of life is engraved in their heart. Those who are subject to the law of the Holy Spirit know all the will of God's word.

In Jeremiah 31:31-34, ``Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers. in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

God gave the word of the covenant on Mount Sinai to the Israelites who escaped. The covenant is the law. In other words, it is the old covenant: "Even though I became their husband, they broke my covenant." God gave the law, but the people did not keep it, so the covenant was broken and became the old covenant. So, God caused Israel to be destroyed by Babylon. However, through the prophet Jeremiah, God is telling us that after 70 years we will go back to Israel. Although the old covenant is valid, God tells us that if God gives us the new covenant, it will be destroyed. The new covenant is Jesus Christ. So the law comes to the days of John.

The New Covenant says in Genesis 15:17, "And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces." God made the covenant like this, but Abraham did not believe the word of God's covenant until he was 99 years old. However, the covenant of Genesis 15:17 is a promise that "God does what man cannot do." In other words, it is an expression that God will die by passing through dead meat. Even if humans cannot keep the covenant, God will unilaterally keep the promise. This promise is the death of Jesus Christ. The death of Jesus Christ is the new covenant.

When the new covenant is fulfilled, And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

The law of condolences no longer applies to those who have entered the new covenant. Because the law of God's Spirit is written in their hearts. So, because the saints know all the will of God, they do not need the provisions of the law. Can I no longer obey the law? It is not necessary to have the provisions of the law, but the law of the Holy Spirit engraved in the heart works and God guides it. The law of the Holy Spirit is far above the law. God will never again sin against those who are in the law of the Holy Spirit. It does not mean that you have a sin, but you will not ask, but that you cannot ask for a sin because it is not established.

Those who are in Christ do not apply the law, so that no sin is established. In Romans 8:2, ``For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

God says that he will not apply the law, which is a lower statute for those who do His work, but will apply it as the law of the Holy Spirit, which is a higher statute, but people continue to insist on the law. The law of the Holy Spirit is a law engraved in the heart of Jesus Christ.
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them. unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. To know is called Yada in Hebrew. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. 'Knew' is'Yada'. Yada means being one. It means that just as God and Christ are one, those who are in Christ become one with God.

In John 17:21-23, "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. As for being one, Jeremiah said, "The people know (Yada)  God through the new covenant . God and man become one because of Jesus Christ. That is, when the saints are united with Jesus Christ on the cross, they become one with God.

The only way to become one with God is the New Covenant, Jesus Christ. So, John 14:6 says, ``Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. So, about eternal life, John 17:3 says, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." Knowing Jesus Christ means being united with God and becoming one. Those who are in God because of Christ do not need the law. The law was given by God to the people to discover Christ, but why would those who are already in Christ need the law? It is not necessary.

However, those who are outside of Jesus Christ, who think that something will be helpful in achieving righteousness through the law, will need the law. To those who need the law, God will apply the provisions of the law. Because those who wish to be governed by the law are not freed from the law of sin and death, they continue to wrestle with sin.

Those who are subject to the law of the Spirit of Life, in Romans 8:3, ``For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned. You become a believer in sin in the flesh.

Those who believe are those who are in Christ. So, the saints enter the new covenant. So,
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Living in the flesh does not mean living by wrongdoings in this world, but a person who thinks to do something by himself. So, to kill the behavior of the body means to give up everything that you think you can achieve.
